Emode/Tickle IQ Test

I don't know if I should share this kind of thing, but I took Emode's Classic I.Q. test this was the result:

Your IQ score is 131

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.

Now what I've never agreed with is how quite a few of the questions are based on knowledge (primarily questions in which you have to know the definition of certain words) which, to me, is not the correct way to judge a persons I.Q. This method relies on the testee having a certain level of education. I know for a fact I am a great deal more intelligent than many people who have a higher level of education than I do just as I know there are a lot of people out there who may be more intelligent than I am with even less education. It also seems to be based on a curve which means that those people that have ordered their results can retake the test with the answer key provided with purchase. Oh well, it's just a website and I imagine it's just entertainment.

Now watch how fast all my friends post how much higher their score was than mine LOL...

PS. As the previous address of an e-mail has been removed also all letters on it have been lost I is compelled to make this dispatch once again.
PS2. To send url your site on an e-mail stop.web.spam@gmail.com is a unique way to avoid a spam from me. To write abuses to the various "stop spam" sites - it is useless.

OK..this is a rare moment: one in which I post. To all those who posted about "My IQ is blah, and I'm only blah years old. Is that good, for my age?" (And also to those of you who wondered..): IQ stands for Intelligence Quotient, which is defined as (Mental Age/Biological Age)*100. Thus, if your biological age happens to equal your mental age, your IQ would be 100, and you'd be normal for your age, whatever that is. If higher, you are (IQ-100)% above the average, whatever your age may be. Your age doesn't matter, because it's factored into the calculation already.

hi, im 14 and i did an IQ test on tickle.com, i think that was for afults, but i would like to know if my IQ score of 118 is good for my age.
This is what it said on my results:
Congratulations, laura!
Your IQ score is 118

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

ok..here is my Enneagram results:

cindi, you're a Type 5 - The Experimenter

Friends, family, and colleagues probably appreciate your probing intelligence and open-minded approach to life. They're also apt to know that when they come to you with a problem, you can be counted on to give them a carefully considered answer based on keen observations. As an Experimenter, you're likely to be seen as a capable and competent individual with a visionary outlook.

Being a member of this type puts you in good company. Renowned painter Georgia O'Keefe, with her reclusive nature and intense focus on her craft, and Albert Einstein, with his groundbreaking theorems and unprecedented view of the space-time continuum, were also Type 5s.

This means that compared to the eight other Enneagram types, you have a strong sense of perception as well as a curious and innovative mind. In fact, like many Experimenters, you have a strong drive to understand how things work.

After reading John's and Sean's Enneagrams, it seems we all have friends family and colleagues who appreciate us and come to us with their problems. We also keep good company :)

As for our respective IQ scores, I think we're all too smart for our own damn good.

Oh, another comment about the swinging pendulum for IQ test scores: I took another one, this time one that is timed and must be completed in 15 minutes or less or they score you on what you have completed, and I scored a 156. In 13 minutes. So, based on that, my IQ is anywhere between 122 and 156 on any given day, depending on what type of questions are asked and probably my mood. But, then, its only entertainment, right?

By the way, here is my Enneagram Test Results:

Sean, you're a Type 8 - The Leader

Friends, family, and colleagues probably appreciate your heroic strength and impassioned inner drive. They're also apt to know that when they come to you with a problem, you can be counted on for strength and guidance. As a Leader, you're likely to be seen as a powerful and protective individual with a natural born sense of management in one form or another.

Being a member of this type puts you in good company. Toni Morrison, an award-winning author and recognized cultural leader in the African American community, and Martin Luther King, Jr., leader of the American civil rights movement, were also type 8s.

This means that compared to the eight other Enneagram types, you have a strong sense of willpower and self-confidence. In fact, you're the kind of resourceful, decisive person who is often committed to making things happen.

Well, I think this particular IQ test is problematic if only because it is not timed. Personally, I have taken it several times before, giving a number of weeks or months in between each testing, and have seen my scores rise by a quotiant of 2 to 4 points after each (from 122 on up to 131). Without practicing or memorizing anything, mind you. I would challenge all of us to take one of the timed tests. I would wager that we would all see our percentages and points drop dramatically. I have yet to take the other test, though. That would be interesting.

However, I think we can all agree that while an IQ test may be something of a measure of learned skill (i.e. book smarts), real-life learning is a much more accurate test of one's intelligence. I may not be the most learned man in the room, but I know for a fact that my experience and knowledge in a plethora of other "real" areas would far surpass that of most college graduates. Plus I can kick their ass and make them run crying for their mommies.

Mine was the same as Charles Dickens. I just took the Enneagram Test and this was my result (I really liked it so I hope it's true):

John, you're a Type 1 - The Idealist

Friends, family, and colleagues probably appreciate you for both your high standards and commitment to excellence. They're also apt to know that when they come to you with a problem, they can trust you to be fair and objective. As an Idealist, you're likely to be seen as a wise and balanced person with strong integrity.

Being a member of this type puts you in good company. Jane Fonda with her knack for athletic ideals and commitment to standing up for just causes, and Ralph Nadar, with his idealistic determination as a consumer advocate, are also Type 1s.

This means that compared to the eight other Enneagram types, you have a strong sense of what's right and wrong. In fact, you're someone who is typically committed to doing the right thing and making sure you're as good a person as you can be — no matter what situation arises.

I took that test a few weeks ago and my score was 132 :) I don't quite remember my IQ type but it was the same as Einstein's. My strength was detecting patterns, especially in numerical sequences. I was suprised at this assessment because I felt weak on those type of questions and felt confident I answered all the verbal and linguistic questions correctly. Maybe I'm not the person I thought I was? Anyways, I took it for its entertainment value only and didn't give it much weight. I also took the Enneagram Test on Emode. Again, I don't remember the name of my "type" (what in the hell happened to my short term memory?) but it was also the same as Einstein's. This tells me I share all of his weaknesses (absent minded, socially inept) and none of his strengths (genius!).
